Fuse Box, Consumer Unit, Fuse Board Installation

The fuse board is an essential safety feature which protects your home and electrical equipment. It controls and distributes electricity throughout the building at the same time as protecting circuits against surges in electrical current.

If a fuse board keeps tripping, it’s an indication that there is a faulty device or wiring somewhere in the building. To discover where the problem is, you may have to unplug all your electrical devices and switch them back on one by one to eliminate each and every one of them.

If the problem continues, or you are unsure of the procedure, one of our qualified electricians will be happy to help.

Upgrade to a new consumer unit

Modern fuse boards are called consumer units as they do not contain fuses, rather, miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) and residual current devices (RCDs).
